2.  How can I get my lab results?

Please call your pharmacy- this is the fastest and most efficient way to get your medication. If you have refills remaining, they don't even need to contact us!  If you're out of refills, they send us a fax that we can sign off on to approve more refills.  Usually all refill requests are done same-day.  If you call your pharmacy over the weekend or on a holiday, it will be done on the first day we're back in the clinic.

Our major accepted carriers are BlueCrossBlueShield and United Healthcare; we are preferred providers for most of their plans. We also accept UMR, PHCS and MultiPlan network policies. Unfortunately, we are not a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, or HMO plans. We do offer a discount for private pay patients and charge out-of-network patients the adjusted rates set by their insurance. If you have further questions about our accepted insurances, please give our office a call at (210) 490-5100

In most cases, we will need you to sign a medical records release form to protect your privacy- whether you want us to request records from another physician or to be able to give records we hold to another party.  We have these forms in our office. There is never a charge to send your records to another physician and standard copying/processing rates will apply for other parties.

3.  I need a prescription refill- who do I call?

We draw almost all our labs in-office, but use Quest Diagnostics to run them and provide secure results online about a week after they're drawn. To register for an account to retrieve your lab results, please visit www.questdiagnostics.com/myquest.  Should you have any difficulties accessing your labs/signing up, please call 1-877-291-7521.  As always, if any results require urgent attention, we will call you directly.
